Back ON :: The Saga Of Joseline And Steebie Continues

By: Elizabeth Black (@lizburrito)

Last night, half the world (at least the world we inhabit) was busy watching Liz And Dick on Lifetime, but we decided to avoid that train wreck and instead concentrate on that other never-ending saga known as the relationship of Joseline and Stevie J.

Last week it looked like the pair might be over for good, after Joseline posted a series of tweets condemning Steebie’s behavior and treatment of her and saying “I’m done with the madness, my career comes first.” She and her “daddy” exchanged some heated words and it sounded like the end of an era. But no. Last night, she posted several photos and tweets about her night with Stevie in New York City — judging from the shot above, they’re very much back together.

She also posted the following tweet to those fans who question her loyalty to her man:

Once again, this mythical, magical relationship never fails to keep us on our toes. They really are the Liz and Dick of our time. At least in the Twitterverse.

WTF Were They Thinking? Celeb Sneaker FAILS

Prodigy of Mobb Deep is the latest rapper to garner a sneaker deal for Supra. He is set to design a limited edition shoe, called “Infamous X Supra Bandit” as well as a complete line of customized boots. Who knows how well his shoes will do, or even what they will look like, but there a few rappers rappers, past and present, who didn’t quite make the mark with their failed sneaker lines.

Xzibit – DaDa Spinner III

First of all, who gave Xzibit a sneaker deal? Being the host of Pimp My Ride does not mean footwear needs to have spinners too. And these are the Spinner III. Does that mean there were two more of these? I hope the first two came in hoopty and Escalade form.

Kimora Lee Simmons Breaks Silence And Confirms Split From Djimon Hounsou

Earlier this year around June rumors started to emerge that happy couple Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou were separated. At the time, representatives for both commented that the rumors were untrue and that Djimon was working on a film, thus his relocation elsewhere. But this past Wednesday a representative for Djimon confirmed that the couple has been split for some time and last night Kimora took to Twitter to speak on it.

"There have been quite a few hurtful rumors circulating. The truth is Djimon+I have been separated for some time. We have remained happy, loving, co-parenting friends+family. We all have much to be thankful for.#HappyThanksgiving"

Are Men w/Big Asses a Turn-On?

MS. CAKEMAN RAVEN

For me personally, a big MUSCULAR booty can be something of a turn on. I'm thinking of some of those baseball stars. But a big ol' sloppy booty is just bad though. But even sometimes those muscular jawns can be too much. Case in point, track star Tyson Gay. He gotta DONK!!! No bueno. An ass like that is not something I associate with a man. It's not even about being feminine as much as it is just not the Pow Bang Boom Adonis physique.

10 Signs of a Good Woman

Think about the little things that men pick up on about women and subconsciously check off in their signs of a great woman list. Of course, a great body and pretty face help us poor visually-stimulated creatures, but there are plenty of non-physical factors that I tend to take note of in a good woman and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in that mental checklist. So here are a few observations—in no particular order—of how a female can earn brownie points with me, and probably many other men.

When Victims Become The ATTACKER :: Evelyn, FIX Your Own Life

I’ve spent the past two nights watching Evelyn Lozada’s interview with life coach guru Iyanla Vanzant. Going into the two-part premiere of Iyanla, Fix My Life I gave it a bit of side-eye. Before Evelyn and Chad Johnson aka Ocho Cinco butted heads—literally—a few weeks ago I’m sure this would have just been a one-day airing. But given the drama, it makes sense for OWN to milk the drama for all it’s worth.

Needless to say I was skeptical about what I would see and if it would change my perception of Ms.Johnson Lozada, who has made her bread and butter as a reality TV bully. The jury is still out on that one but I definitely gained appreciation for Vanzant and her brand of tough love. But that’s a subject for another time.

7 Slept-On Male R&B Artist {90's & EARLY 2000's}

Iwoke up the other morning in an R&B mood. I just couldn’t get this one song out of my head. I wound up grabbing my trusty Android and Googled the track on YouTube so I could listen to it in the shower and get my bathroom acoustics on. But I digress…

The whole experience reminded me of several of my favorite male R&B artists from the 90s and early 2000s that never got a fair shake. Despite their talents and hits, their place in the general public’s psyche has waned over the years. In fact, most that came to mind for me would rarely top anyone’s greatest of all-time list. I’m not saying that these brothers are G.O.A.T.s but in my humble opinion they deserve their fair shake somewhere alongside the Maxwells and D’Angelos of the world.

Without further ado, here are my personal picks for top slept-on male R&B artists from the ’90s and early 2000s.

7. GLENN LEWIS
Maybe it’s because he hailed from Toronto long before Drake made it cool to be, but Glenn Lewis’ name rings few bells in the when mentioned. Inspired by Stevie Wonder, he carried a tone quite similar to the living legend. In fact, in 2002 he released Conception: A Tribute to Stevie Wonder that included a stirring rendition of “Superstition.” Lewis' debut album, World Outside My Window featured a few hidden gems such as “Don’t You Forget It” and “It’s Not Fair.”
